Hey everyone. Long time Honda owner but wife wanted to buy a VW Taos (2022) when we were on vacation. I'm trying to run the wires for the dashcam and BOY the Germans and their engineering. Usually I just pop off the weather stripping around the doors, trunk molding, pillars, and hide the wires making it look nice nice. I couldn't pull the trim or weather stripping for the life of me, nor did I even attempt to take apart the panel under/around the shifter to run the hardwiring since it was 2,000ºF in the direct sun. Does anyone have insight on how exactly I can remove that all? I didn't want to break anything as it's her car and not mine lol. Thanks all.

This thread should help a bit. I wired a dashcam pretty easily, to access the fuse box just pull on the panel bottom left of the steering wheel and it comes right off.
