yeah its best in class in MPG by a long shot. particularly if you got the FWD one at 40+mpg. our taos replaced a 2006.5 jetta TDI that got over 40. it was great!

we got the AWD one which gives us a winter option over my 20mpg truck 4x4, still way better as our trips in the taos for same road are about 34mpg round trip. much better

although the truck will deal with far more snow than the taos

I got a solid 34mpg on a cross country trip last week. No fancy top tier gas just regular. Can’t complain with those miles

I guess you have the front wheel drive Taos and not the 4 wheel drive.

Two weeks ago we put 5 people and luggage in the Taos to save fuel, We had planned to use our Dodge Journey but at 23 MPG hwy loaded we said lets try the Taos. an average of 35 running 75mph or better with 5 adults and a 4 day weekend worth of luggage

I have the 4motion so most times I get 27-28 combined. 30-32 hwy depending on how windy it is. This area of NJ is flat.
