I've been casually digging into this. So far, all that I've been able to come up with has been Chinese Tharu parts. In the US market, all the other vehicles have a completely different shaped mirror from the Taos.

Now for the interesting parts. The 2022 Tiguan (at least from pictures) looks to have the same shaped mirror. Also, when looking online at the VW parts website, I found this as the Taos mirror assembly, no part numbers listed though. Interesting part #4, especially when you compare it to the 2022 Tiggy parts list🤔 View attachment 842

Im checking on the chinese ebay (Taobao) for the Tharu parts, I think the rear mirror is the same

The whole thing cost $200usd which has side turning, puddle lights and auto-fold, i guess not a bad way to retrofit all those features

The base S model has the SD slot just under its display... Have to go cheap to get the good stuff

No way.. I have the 2023 S model, but I thought that was just a blocked up slit where the sensor for waving would be? Now I really need to take a closer look at mine!

Getting back on topic, a front camera for parking would be nice. Even nicer would be the Sentry Mode motion-activated cameras found in the Tesla!

No way.. I have the 2023 S model, but I thought that was just a blocked up slit where the sensor for waving would be? Now I really need to take a closer look at mine!

A few months late but our 22 does have the SD slot. We have been using it as back up on our travels when the radio cant find a station. when we first got it I saw the slot and thought it looked like an SD slot so I stuck one in there. The display showed it was plugged in and it has been there since.

I finally got around to using it last month, and it is much better to put a library of music on there than killing space on my phone. I like how easy it is to navigate to different albums and tracks. Definitely a major "pro" for the S model that is not found in the SE or SEL trims!

The bigger display in the SE and SEL take up the space. There are USB c slots that will accept a card reader or USB stick. My wife and I usually have our phones plugged in there for navigation with android auto. Well cell signal is not a problem Amazon music get used some too although not as good as it used to be
