When first starting to drive my Taos I hear a sound like a rock hitting the windshield on the driver's side. I am afraid it is going to crack, what's up with that?

Popping sound from driver's side dashboard

The sound happens after about 10 minutes of driving and it sounds like it's coming from the windshield. It only happens once a day but it's still concerning as it sounds like a rock is hitting the windshield.
