Has anyone else had problems with their windshield wipers. On my new 2022 Taos SE they always spear the windows. I have cleaned both wipers and windows and still have the same results. I'm thinking the VW dealer needs to replace them.

I have the same model and the issue I have with my wipers is that they were too slow. I messed with the settings cuz you know you could do automatic rain sensing wipers I think that's default but I live in Florida where sometimes it rains really heavy and you got to drive a high speeds through it so the one second interval between every Wipe on its fastest setting wasn't cutting it I went to dealership they said i
t was just as fast as the other identical cars so I'm going to try Rain-X to help with visibility

I have, my wiper on the driver side lags and sounds like its rubbing against a dry windshield. When i called the dealer they said there was nothing they could do, im really annoyed with this car. Have you figured out how to fix your issue or have you taken yours into the dealer?

I was having some trouble with my wipers as well. I read on some other forums to polish the windshield as even though it looks clean it can have some small defects. I used a 3M finesse it finish polish and it did seem to help reduce the chatter and noise with a light rain. It has been several months now and it is still holding up.

Yes my wipers had to be replaced at the dealership. No charge as long as you have it done within 6 months

Good ole claybar will help also. Seemed to smooth out the operation on my TAOS.

We also have the same year and model experiencing the same wiper skip. Also. When looking and the integrity of the wiper I noticed when extending the wiper to up position it makes contact with the hood. Bad vw design. Treated window with rain X hoping this helps.

The wipers have a service position - VWs have had this for years. Turn ignition on and off, then push the wiper stalk down. The wipers will make a sweep and stop at the leftmost edge of travel. This gives easy access to both blades from the driver side and lets you lift them completely up off the windshield. Once you're done replacing the blades or whatever, turn the ignition on, push the wiper stalk down again once, and they return to the rest position.
Another interesting feature they have (at least I think the Taos has it too - I know my GTI has) is that every so often at startup the wipers will move a little bit - either up or down. This is so that when they are not used for a long time the actual thin rubber blade is not always bent over in the same direction (wiggle the wiper blade a little to see what I mean). Keeps them from getting permanently deformed.
I put Rain-X on my windshield and have no issues with skipping. When it comes time to replace them though I will probably not use genuine blades. I've had good experiences with Trico Exact Fit - hopefully they have an application for the Taos.

I took the OEM Wipers off and replaced them with a set of Rain-Ex. Much cleaner wipe and no streaks. FYI, the front wiper sizes are 26" and 18". Couldn't find that info anywhere and had to measure them.

I took my Taos back to the dealer and they replaced the wipers free of charge. What a difference with the new wipers.

I live in snow country in NW Pennsylvania. Our 2022 Taos has the worst wiper blades ever.clean them over and over, but still ice up and smear windshield. Can’t have smeared windshield in a snowstorm. Going to dealer next week. Don’t see aftermarket winter blades offered by parts stores.

The quality of the factory wipers are actually fine (Belgian made Boschs), the issue is whatever coating the windshield gets before it leaves the factory ends up contaminating the blades and they are never the same after that, the only fix is to replace them. I didn't think to ask the dealer but installed some Bosch ICONs and the chattering/skipping problem was immediately solved.
