Wiper function is not the most intuitive thing about the Taos. When I first got mine, I thought it had “automatic” wipers since generally they only operated in the rain. I came to realize they are “rain sensing” intermittent wipers only. Meaning they only operate automatically when the control stalk is in “intermittent” mode, which is not easy to determine. After enough time of playing around with the sensitivity level and it still going off without rain occasionally, I’ve learned to keep the stalk in the “off” position unless it’s raining.

Adjusting the "Rain-sensing" sensitivity toward the left can help. Otherwise, move the stalk down to "Off" rather than "Intermittent" to avoid the issue all together by operating the wipers manually when needed.
