Didn't have room in our 2dr Jeep Wrangler, but was able to pick up this Dana 44 differential w/ our Taos, even had room for my wife to ride without discomfort in the passenger seat (y)

Nice. I just picked up 50 pieces of 8ft quarter round from Lowes this weekend. No passenger but it fit very easily.

That looks heavy. :)
But yes, there's a lot of room there with the back seat down.

It was about 300 lbs give or take. Guy I bought it from used an engine hoist to wheel it into the back and lower it down. No problems supporting that w/ the wood underneath. It took four of us to safely remove it (no hoist on our end) without nicking up the VW though :)
I had 600 pounds of tile in the trunk, not real happy about how squat the rear was but I got it home.

That’s because you overloaded the rear suspension. This isn’t an F150.

You are better off putting seats down and spreading a load like that so the front suspension carries some of the weight.

Well the point is that I got it home. The rear suspension is way too soft in general on this car. Going over a speed bump is a completely different experience in the back seat.
Nice haul! Rear helper bags were a game changer on our Taos.

Now that is an idea. Can they be left inflated? I assume these are basically helper springs?
Yes, they are essentially pneumatic helper springs. The bags stay inflated so not to loose their shape or get pinched. They call for a minimum pressure of 5psi and are adjustable up to 35psi depending on your need/load.
Does it help the lame rear suspension when the car is unloaded? I'm going to buy the torsion brace one day but going over a speed bump is a different experience in the back vs front. It just feels so mushy.
Even at their lowest pressure setting they help stiffen the rear spring rate and it feels great. The rear torsion brace (for 2WD) or rear swaybar upgrade (for AWD) both pair up well with the bags and help give some rigidity in the corners. If you need help on either, just give us a shout!

Is the Dana going into the Jeep ?

I've put some big loads in it a few times and have been pleasantly surprised on how well it does (y)

Nice load there!
Yeah, it's going in my 2019 Wrangler, ours came w/ the M200 (Dana 35 equivalent) w/ open differential. Got a Dana M220 (Dana 44 equivalent) w/ Limited Slip, so should be a nice upgrade. I'm also welding up some custom trusses and altering the previous skid plate to work w/ the new setup. It also came w/ the driveshaft too so it was a sweet deal!
