For those who have used Carista or similar technologies, have you noticed a big difference in the throttle and driving style? I’m a novice with all this technical stuff so apologies for any ignorant questions, but using Carista doesn’t do anything to void the manufacturer warranty, right?
Looking to address the slow acceleration on my pure gray SE FWD.
Thanks in advance for the info!

I changed it on my SEL w/4-Motion and to me the difference is night and day! I'm not sure if it affects the warranty or not. I think it is a bit of a grey area, although I could easily imagine if some module failed in the future, and VW could see that you made coding changes to the module in question - they would deny your warranty claim. I think I'll take the risk because the driving experience is so much better with the change, I don't think I want to go back to the default setting.

As I'm thinking of purchasing a Taos, and possibly using the Carista to customize throttle response, I wrote to them regarding how to return to OEM settings. Here's their reply:
Thanks for your interest in Carista. There is a way to get the current values of all features in the car before you start making changes. You just need to connect to the vehicle, load the CUSTOMIZE menu in the app, and then use the share button in the top-right corner to send the current data to yourself; via email. But, that needs to be done before you start using customizations.
I don't know how you'd use the App to return to the OEM settings after emailing to yourself. Any Carista owners out there have an answer?

The default setting are shown as default setting 1 in the list you send your self. When a setting is changed. the *'s move to the new selection so you can see you have made a change. To revert, customize again and choose what was the default.

I did it also and haven’t notice any change to throttle. Acceleration in TAOS SEL is a joke. I press gas pedal and I can can’t to 5 before I can feel it move! Scary to merge the traffic. I had Honda Accord before and I didn’t have that issue. I am ready to trade this car back and take something else. Very unhappy with TAOS SEL
