Hello all. It seems no recent posts on this. Has anyone found a tow hitch that works with the 4 Motion AWD versions, I can find one for FWD but not AWD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was told by VW towing is not allowed and the car doesn’t have an option to install a tow hitch.

Yes VW response is not the solution I am looking for, no original parts but looking underneath the vehicle definitely areas to secure after market hitch. FWD model has after market option from Draw Tite though that model does not fit 4 Motion. I am aware of towing restriction - I just want to mount a bike rack. I do not trust the VW crossbar option I have had them fail in the past and know of a friend too. If a Jetta can have a Tow Hitch a Taos sure can!

I'm still looking also. Contrary to the narrow minded view from VW, clearly there are hitches available that can be and have been installed on FWD models. Most posts I've seen in this forum have been inquiring for the simple purpose of attaching a bike rack. Sorry VW, not everyone wants to or can put their bike(s) on the roof!

I asked the dealership myself and they said the warranty will not be void if I install a trailer hitch to tow my 1000lb Seadoo. Scare Tactic.
