I bought a 2022 VW Taos S model July 2021. I am at 22k miles and have had so many issues so I just want to share my experience. I visited the dealership 3 times because my coolant light was on and the coolant was leaking. They checked it twice and said there’s no issue and this is normal? The third time they found the leak…. My car was in the shop for 2 months due to this issue at about 10k miles. After this, my car started to lag. They found a spark plug and some other component needed to be replaced at 15k miles. Now, my engine light is on for a “emissions solenoid valve stuck closed”. This model is highly unreliable.

First year models almost always tend to have some issues, luckily ours has been pretty good in that regard. That emissions valve might be what I had the CEL come on for, luckily ours was never a problem and the light hasn't turned back on after it was cleared 12k miles ago. There is a new recall for one of the emission valves on the fuel line, maybe you should ask the dealer if that applies to you. Good luck and hope your problems get sorted out and no new ones appear.
