NOW, I have two issues if anyone can help. I only enabled 3 things and two created issues.

I changed the touch turn signal flashes from 3 to 4. No issue.

I enabled driver's puddle light. No idea if we even have one, but thought, why not try. I lost the color and all settings of my ambient lighting after doing this. Restored what I could recall in the MMI.

The big one. I enabled lower passenger mirror in reverse. It works!, BUT will not return in drive even after minutes and achieving 45 mph. Never returns. I have tried a few things but none worked. Any ideas? I would love to have this working.

LAST, there are severe warnings for enabling Throttle response behavior DIRECT, CONTROLLED BY THRESHOLD. Has anyone had any issue doing this? I relented on enabling before posting this here.

In my car, passenger mirror lowers in reverse IF you have the mirror adjustment knob (drivers door) on “R”. When out of reverse, mirror self return to normal position if you set that knob to “0” (center).

WEll, My previous Audi moved the mirror up in DRIVE. The manual I found for Tiguan, I believe, says it goes up in DRIVE. I have never seen a car that required going to the 0 position to return, but I will check!

Yeap , I agree with you that it should go up in drive regardless of knob position.
Just double check it right now and it doesn’t return to normal unless it is on 0 position.

Hmmm, no one else with mirror experieces. Odd yours would return on 0 and mine not.

Any place to get more info on the VW Fault Codes? Not finding a good site for the manufacturer specific faults. Carista leaves a little to be desired in their descriptions. I do feel several, like the airbags, need immeidate attention.

New to Carista... Is the warranty voided if you change any settings?
In general, no. Most Carista adaptations seem to be fairly benign, and VW would have a hard time proving that one of those caused a warranty failure.
They could be awkward I suppose and say you messed with things, but the responsibility is on them to show what you did caused a problem. If you changed the dash color for example, they couldn't really say that would invalidate an engine warranty claim.
VCDS, on the other hand, definitely has the capability to change a lot more than Carista. You could certainly make changes that could cause issues. VW could, quite rightly, deny warranty coverage if you did something silly. With great power comes great responsibility. :)
