Hello all!

My daughter’s 2022 Taos S had a check engine light and some engine shaking (similar to what others have described in several threads) without total shut down back in September. We were advised that there was “no fix“ available…they cleared the codes and sent us on our way. Yesterday, when I picked up my ‘22 GLI (fuel line rattle repair)…I asked if there was any fix for the Taos yet. Advisor said that a software update came out early last month, but unable to provide a description of what the update addresses. Anyone have any info on this update? Does is magically cure all of our Taos rage?

Thanks!

I checked with my dealer, and they don't show any updates for my Taos.
He did say that they usually roll out these updates in stages to try not to swamp the service departments too much, so it might show up fairly soon.

Was that a trip to the dealer? I don't see any updates listed for my AWD SE but if there's one out there, I'll take it!
I had my 10k Service done. And the Tech told me there was a few software updates. So I waited about 2.5hrs for the car. But it was worth it. I didn't find any data online regarding the updates. So it's not always "public" knowledge until enough people start chatting about them.

how do you check for updates?
You have to call the dealer or better to go in person with your VIN and knowledge the update/recall/campaign has rolled out. My update is scheduled for next week. The vehicle or checking online doesn't show any updates for mine but the dealer said yes when I went there.

Yes, the dealer will need to check the ELSA database for your vin. It shows campaigns, recalls, prepaid maintenance, original in service date...etc. Original sale date and owner..
