Anyone having issues with downshifting ? The drive is not smooth at all. Upshifting and downshifting can be felt when driving (feels like I’m driving a standard car drunk). Also, the collision warning is brutal and the breaks squeak half the time (3000km on the vehicle, should not be doing this) I want to return this vehicle. Anyone else with these issues ?

The main thing I would really like to have in the Taos is a driver's memory seat. Besides that, it's been a great car for the 3 months I've owned it. Bought it out of state so it began it's time with me on a 1,300 mile road trip back home, which is exactly why I bought it. This car has city driving and road tripping duties, so I wanted the better MPG vs the Tiguan. Plus I personally don't need the Tig's larger size and I actually like the looks of the Taos better.

@jlampc What are your 'must haves' and which model has them? That's what normally drives my car choices but no regrets with the Taos.
I just hit 892 miles on my 23 SEL 4 motion. So far I really love it with no regrets. But I do have to agree that I miss the power passenger seat and power hatch option that I have had before. But not a spoiler by any means. Hoping I have good luck and no problems.

How is the low speed performance of the transmission? Almost every review I've read or watched has mentioned how rough and jerky the DCT is. Was the problem fixed? Thanks.

I have an SE with 20k on it. Yes the DCT could be rough and jerky at low speed specialy when you start from stop. After a while I learned and got used to it( and it seemed the transmission also learned a bit from me:)). But it was still there. However, I got the 24IR ECM software update over the weekend and I am pleasantly surprised. I think they did a great job addressing the issue, that is gone for good!

That's awesome news! I'm definitely checking one out this week.
