Thanks for the add. In scrolling though the introductions I noticed that I wasn’t alone in the never thought I’d buy a ____! I’m definitely a car whore as I’ve owned 4 different vehicles in 10 years: ‘03 Jeep TJ, 2016 Crosstrek, 2020 Ford Ranger, and now a 2023 Taos SE. I enjoyed the drive home from the dealership as I live 150 miles away through winding mountain roads and passes. Some areas were snow packed, at lower elevations dry and dirt roads. I was able to try out all the driving modes. The handling, acceleration, and braking made that drive fun.
We’ll see how this relationship works out. Ive always modified my vehicle (lift, wheelers, tires, accessories) out and will be scanning the threads to see what is possible. I’ve ordered the cargo liner, rear bumper protector, door handle protector, roof crossbars, and a bug deflector.
See ya in the funny papers.

Hey there, I just bought a white SE AWD and live in Denver. Are you going with stock all-seasons or winter tires for the winter? Have you had the stock tires in the snow?

On the way home (after purchase) to Crestone from Denver I went up over Fremont pass to Leadville which was snowpacked; the Taos handled well as I went into snow mode. I’m going to tuff this winter out with the all season tires and stock 18” wheels. I’m going to drop down to 15” and add Falken Wildpeaks next fall.

You can go down to 16" winter wheels, but not 15" as far as I know. There are a few threads on winter tires on here with a lot of good information.
Bottom line - for 16" wheels, 215/65R16 is very close to stock diameter and fits fine on a wheel with 35-45mm offset. (Yeah, I got steelies, lol)

Thanks. I went ahead and purchased a set of Vredestein Wintrack Pros on 17 inch wheels from Tire Rack. I've never had that brand before.
