Probably a fault in the stupid start stop every car must have in the USA. I always press the disable button myself.
Taos in the shop already
Hello guys, I just bought a pure white Taos 2 weeks ago, and the car will randomly shut off when driving. Its now in the shop.

they cant find any thing wrong with the car, but Volkswagen America tell them to replace the fuel pump.

I was going to test drive a Taos this week. Not now.
Sorry and also worried to hear that. We purchased our FWD Pure White Taos 3 weeks ago and have just returned from a 2,000 mile road trip. So far, so good and to top it off, it averaged 41.3 mpg. at interstate speeds in Hot, Hot weather. I never run the start/stop on and don't know it this affects the issue or not. The day we picked it up, my son-in-law and i had stopped at a local store. He was driving and had the keys in his pocket and went into the store and left the Taos running with me in it. After about a minute or two, it shut off. I immediately suspected this was related to the issue but soon found out it is supposedly a feature. I believe those MPG if your trip wasn’t mountainous. I get the same MPG in the Jetta on highways. I get close to 39 combined on a true combined trip, and 29 average in city driving with lots of elevation changes.Sorry and also worried to hear that. Mpg are ridiculous, my wife’s Taos is also around 38 mpg...exactly twice of the mpg of my tacoma😂🥺
