Taos Coastal California road camping trip

I haven’t posted in a while bit thought I’d share a recent trip. Drove the coastal route from LA to SF and back in a week long camping road trip. Temperatures varied from 60-100. The Taos SE did great. Particularly fun on the winding cliffs in Big Sur. Saw quite a bit of dusty campground roads as well. Hit my best mpg at 40.1. This is the awd version.
Really happy with this car. Plenty of room for my gear and fun to drive.

couldn't agree more. we enjoy driving our SEL AWD from 6000ft to 12000ft in the rockies. twisty mountain passes and steep grades, the taos does great with them all. plenty of power to pass slow trucks in short passing lanes. 36mpg round trip is impressive for that trip.

Short trip for us last weekend. 4.5 hours on the highway at 60-66 mph and averaged just under 40 mpg at 39.9

very happy with that!

Fun to read these positive experiences. We love our Kings Red SE AWD. Nearing 3,000 miles of enjoyable trouble free driving around our mountain Maryland home. A few basic Carista tweaks improved our Taos - dynamic steering and direct throttle are well suited for our location, with some local
