Hi all,
I'm so glad that I found this forum for Taos specifically! My 2021 Taos ( lease) had a car rack last November and has been sitting in the shop since then! My insurance only covered 30 days of car rental. I’m really frustrated about it. The body shop said the parts ( radiator, fender liner and both headlamps) could potentially delivered in April. This is the third time they gave me an estimate delivery time. I called VW customer care number and got an email from regional case manager saying they are working on it, will update it in two weeks.
is it reasonable for me to ask a loaner car since I didn’t skip any payment(leasing) since the accident?
Anyone here had similar issues or having parts shortage issues?
I just hope to get my car back soon!!
thank you for reading my post.

Welcome to the site!
It's not unreasonable to ask for a loaner, but since it's not a warranty issue it's probably not something VW will cover, but worth a shot! Good luck btw, and hope you get the parts soon, not a good time to be waiting that's for sure!

Hello!! I’m currently going through the same thing. Any luck with parts or loaner car? I haven’t had any 😢😢
No luck with loaner. Headlamps are the only parts missing now. One of VW dealers said there is a shipment coming but there are 40 back orders nationally. If you are looking for radiator, call 817-390-3763 Harrison .
they have some radiator.

I was in an accident in December with my 2 month old Taos. The struts and headlamp were missing. The headlamp came in shattered to bits...back to square 1. Finally got that in 1 month ago and still waiting for struts. I've been renting a car, can't get a loaner and VW Care keeps passing the buck. I have no idea how they can get away treating their consumers like this. It's beyond maddening.

This is alarming to read, one would think there's laws out there that say BEFORE a MFG sells a new vehicle model they have to FIRST have available replacement parts. I mean Headlights & Struts are as basic as you can get.

Hello,
I have a 2022 Taos S. It has been waiting on headlights since February. Still no eta or timeline and calling VW corporate was a complete waste of time. Not sure what else to do at this point. I get kinda peeved when they have new Taos at the dealer for sale, but they can't seem to find any headlights for mine.

I am going through the same issue, I own a 2022 VW Atlas which met an accident. Now headlight is in backorder and it has been 6 weeks and counting. I registered a case with VW and they said that they can not give any ETA also my insurance will give a loaner vehicle for 30 days and VW in written said that they are not going to provide or pay for my loaner vehicle after the 30 day period is over.
The reason they gave for the delay is that their Ukraine and Russian factories are closed. I met with people whose vehicle are standing for repairs for over 6 months.
I am getting rid of this shit as soon as I get it back and buy a made in America brand.

Hi All, I do not have a Taos but this thread caught my eye, I have been waiting 7 months now for a bumper for my 2022 Tiguan SEL. Have any of you got your cars back or still waiting? I was in the same predicament of the insurance only covering 30 days of rental and after 3 months of waiting a bought another car since the monthly payment to take on was less than renting on a monthly basis. I have called VW corporate and they basically told me to pound sand and they clearly don't care.
