Are there any replacement arm rests out there? I think back to my 2019 Jetta adjustable arm rest, this was very comfortable. Wasn't sure if anything was currently available for the Taos yet?

Wow, that's scary. I was literally thinking about posting this exact same topic when I was driving home a little bit ago. If there is no replacement available I think a spacer about an inch or two high should raise the front up enough to be useful for this. It's nice and soft but is just too low for normal height people.

Actually this is something that has ground my gears for years. For some reason adjustable armrests just have not been a thing in cars in the US for years, at least on most mainstream models. And yet, when I was in Germany back in the fall and I had a rental T-Cross, a base model T-Cross with the base engine and everything, even THAT had a nice adjustable, sliding armrest. And then the Taos does not. Why????

If anyone figures out how to retrofit one please let me know...

I loved the armrest in my 2017 Sportwagen which moved up and down and back and forth. I'm 6'4" and really need it to at least lift up.

Would be great if it was a little forward and up higher but compare do the Tiguan its a thousand times better. I took a Tig for a ride with the Salesman even know I told him I wanted the Taos, the absolute first thing I said when I got in it was No Thank You. The arm rest was like a foot lower and no possible way you could rest your arm on it. I've found this with many of my former SUV's; Nissan Rogue, Hyundai Tucson, Mitsi Outlander, ....
