I had the Basecamp package. Paid dealership 1300 to put it on, thought it was cheap, I'll fitting and ugly as shit. Then I had to pay them another 1700 to remove it and them touch up the paint. I wouldn't recommend that package for the Taos. "My opinion"

Interesting that’s a lot of money to remove something! It’s a simple kit to install . Your vw tech must have had a bad day. As for it being ugly as shit you say? Why install it in the 1st place?

Both the front and rear tires slightly protrude from the fenders about 1/4 inch. The shop had to use the B2BFAB spacers to keep the tires from rubbing on the struts.
That's odd. I was able to go with 255/55R18's without rubbing the struts. My tires rub the inside of the wheel well though. I added wheel spacers to try to get rid of the rubbing but it didn't make a difference.

I thought it looked awesome in the pics I saw online but up close in person I thought it looked cheesy and cheap. Opinions are like assholes though, everybody's got one.

What is the wheel spec and spacer size?
I have the OEM 17” wheels and was considering 12/15 or 17/20 staggered as the fronts don’t have as much to flush up as the rears and I’m leaving the wheels till I do suspension, they are just so tucked under with the stock 205 tires on 7” rims.
