I don’t know about anyone else, but I think sport mode makes a hella difference. Yea, I know, it’s not economically correct with the price of gas, but it feels nice. Kind of reminds me of my Passat RLine when I hit that pedal.

it doesn't change the performance of the engine, just delays the up shift and more importantly delays the down shifts for more sporty and powerful corners. the up shift delay can be accomplished in normal mode by pressing the pedal to force higher shift points. the same is not true of down shifts...
