I also really like the mazda cx30 w/turbo. I'm not sure what to do. I always wanted a blue car ever since I saw the subaru wrx sti...the cx30 only comes in a dark blue that I don't like nearly as much as the taos blue.

Local dealer has the taos Im going to test drive on saturday. It's a demo so I could possibly save $2500 on it according to sales rep.

so ya theres a significant price difference since its the GT cx30 im looking at vs the comfortline Taos/

Well, I can't speak about the other options, but I have a Taos and I really enjoy it! It's beautiful, fun and versatile. And with an optimal fuel range (36 mpg on highways).

when I looked around to buy, the Taos was unmatched for MPG, cargo, price. and we did look at the mazda suvs including cx30. CX30 has more HP but I don't care about that, the more gears in Taos makes up for some of that with better ratios. I gues it depends on why you're torn on the choice.

I think the awd in taos is probably a better design than others out there if that is something that matters for you

I have the 2022 Taos S AWD and love it. Have not had any issues with it. Get 27-28 around town and 37-38 hwy. the visibility is fantastic. Ride is great. Seats are firm and comfortable and tons of room. The blue is a great looking color thoughI I have the dark gray. Best of luck in your decision.

CX 30 is a lot smaller in the back, and the screen and infotainment isn't that great.

Agreed but its faster and I've read here on the forum that some new owners are having issues simply merging onto the highway. Is that true?

Wow I don't know how people have issue with merging. I'm consistently able to get up to speed ahead of traffic as I merge.

Old posts or people that don't know you can push down more. No issues hitting 75 on merging

If I want to save money the Taos really seems like a clear winner. The infotainment does appear better as well which is nice. I will report back after my test drive on Saturday.

I researched for over 6 months. I originally wanted the Volvo XC40, but considering their infotainment and price ... led me to read and watch countless reviews of cars. I love my Taos. No issue at all!

It does matter alot actually

The AWD option is a must if your in a snowy environment, like Winnipeg. The extra fuel capacity is a bonus.

That sounds like someone whose never actually drove the car. I've had no issues accelerating to highway speeds and merging into traffic. The car weighs a few hundred pounds more than a Jetta and has the same powertrain.

I have an S 4motion and have great acceleration on highways. I’m very happy with my little turbo.

Take one for a test drive and try a lane change. I’d be surprised if you didn’t find it very satisfactory.
