I read the Mexican spec sheet for the Taos and it specifies manual heigh adjustment for the fron passenger seat. Not sure if the US/Canada models will have manual or electric height adjustment but, based on this info, I am 100% sure there is height adjustment for that seat. The range of adjustment is another question you have to find out once the Taos shows up in dealerships near you.Would anybody know if the passenger seat has height adjustment? Important, as my wife does like to look over the dash instead of at it.
Thanks for the info. Manual height adjustment is fine. Electric would be nice, and I would think it would be standard in the higher trim.I read the Mexican spec sheet for the Taos and it specifies manual heigh adjustment for the fron passenger seat. Definitely height-adjustable - it's been a very long time, to say the least, since VW offered a car without passenger seat height adjustment, even if manual, on a US vehicle. Thanks for the info. You're right! Just checked both the US and Mexico Jetta brochure and there is no indication that there is even manual height adjust for the passenger front seat. I wonder what the top honchos at VW/Audi were thinking when they decided that the front passenger seat won't need height adjust.I sat in a new Jetta. Only back & forth, and seat back tilt.
I sat in the Jetta SEL. No passenger seat height adjustment. It’s just stupid. The Jetta was on our list as the prices were pretty good. My wife sat in one and nixed it.You're right! Yeah, for a while I thought that at least the SEL had driver's seat memory, but I had a nagging suspicion I'd imagined that; it is such a key feature for any car with more than one regular or even occasional driver. The lack of auto liftgate doesn't bother me, it's a small, easy hatch, comparatively. The order guide confirms height adjustment for front seats.
I was disappointed to see that there is no memory function or automatic liftgate on the SEL.
The driver side memory was mentioned in some early promotional information.Yeah, for a while I thought that at least the SEL had driver's seat memory, but I had a nagging suspicion I'd imagined that; it is such a key feature for any car with more than one regular or even occasional driver.
