I have an SEL 4 motion. It’s been checked and passed recalls and ECU was updated for the stop/stall recall.

I live in a hilly area.

Occasionally I have to reverse up a hill (ie. to parallel park), and I notice sometimes when I put my foot on the accelerator there isn’t any power and it seems to stutter. If I floor it after a while I hear the turbo spin up and it starts to move. Flooring it scares me a bit if I’m going into a tight space and there’s a car behind me.

Other times (at the same incline) it just starts to reverse normally.

I’m wondering if others have had this issue.
Is this normal? Any tips?

Would the behavior be different with the 4 motion dual clutch transmission vs. the FWD?

I think this is part and parcel of a lot of the DSG complaints with the Taos- the ECU just isn't aggressive enough with engaging the clutches. It's trying too hard to emulate a torque converter automatic.
