Hi All. Reading everything I can find about remote starter problem on VW SUVs. I have a 2019 Tiguan I have had remote starter problems since I purchased it. The remote start was a heavy influence in my decision to buy the Tiguan. Sometimes it works, sometimes not at all, and sometimes it will run for about 30 seconds and quit running. I've taken it the dealer I bought the car at so many times they now run and hide when the see me coming. Sometimes after enough failures the check engine light will come on for a couple of days and then magically go out. If anybody has any insight into this I would be tremendously happy for the feedback.

You should pull any stored error codes if it's turning on the CEL. They should still be there even if the CEL is off again. That would at least give you a clue.
The CEL may be something unrelated which is preventing the remote start from working.
