I bought my Taos in July of 2021, and all during the summer months it seemed to leak periodically, but during the winter months I think I only saw it leak once. When I researched it last year I found that some other VW models such as the Tiguan and Golf/GTI have had similar issues. I believe some owners on those models had VW check it and in some cases the dealer either replaced the pump, or installed some kind of check valve in the line to stop it. I also read that the leaks happens more when the washer fluid reservoir is filled to the top, which I don't know is accurate. I probably should just take it to the dealer to see what they say, but just haven't considered it bad enough lately to make an appointment. If mine starts leaking again in the coming weeks as it gets warmer, I'll know it is related to warmer weather and I'll see what VW says

The afternoon temps have been hot since I picked up my Taos... and the rear washer nozzle does weep when it gets hot... and leaves a residue trail down the window... today, i dampened a rag with vinegar that i keep for coffee makers... it removed the trail of residue quickly.

Unfortunately, mine has dribbled a few times on warmer days since I posted back in April, but I haven't asked the dealer about it yet. I just wipe it off and carry on!

Mine started today, coincidentally, it’s also super muggy out today. Maybe there’s something to the “air in the line” thing. Perhaps the air gets warmer and starts to push out fluid? Who knows, I find it annoying though.

Mine has been leaking since I got my Taos. I do agree it leaks more in the summer months compared to the fall/winter. I got mine in march and it has stained my rear window that the streaks won’t even come clean. (very annoyed about it) I took it to the dealership and they said there was no fix for it 😡
