I do a ton of driving so don’t drag me for mileage but i’ve put about 7k on her in the past month. Traded up from a ‘19 Jetta and i am beyond pleased with the way this car drives. VW packaged all they could into this thing and it shows. It is a great all-around car it just sucks the early issues i keep hearing everyone experiencing. I can say I have noticed the shut-off once during my ownership but that hasn’t deterred me from Volkswagen. I typically never buy first-production models but i couldn’t wait another year or so for a compact suv because winter is here in Michigan. My Jetta had a Stage 1 Unitronic Tune so I do miss the quick acceleration but they have plans on releasing something for the Taos soon so hopefully it puts the numbers at least in the 180-200hp range because it could use it at times. I also noticed that driving in manual helps a little with eliminating the lag you initially feel off the line but if you don’t know how to properly use the manual function, i would stay away given its a DSG. It’s also cool to see an entire forum dedicated to this vehicle and not a subsection on vwvortex (no hard feelings tho🤫)

Great choice in color & wheels, looks just like ours minus the 4 motion.
Glad you're racking up those trouble free miles, nice pics too!
Thanks!!! I really didn’t have much of a choice when it came to color because they only had 3 of them on the lot but i fell in love with it. The gray/black combo manufacturers are putting on their vehicles is a beautiful look imo

Thanks for the post! You mentioned they are coming out with a ecu tune soon? Did you mean Unitronic? Do you know when?
