Hi guys,
My taos has been in the shop since last Nov. I have tried contact VW customer care and pretty much all the dealers in my State and the States near mine. No one knows about ETA on back ordered parts.
I was expecting VW customer Care has more information on parts, their ETA etc. It turns out they has no detail info and still keep blaming on the pandemic.
May I know what's our right as a consumer? Is there any law that we can use to protect ourselves?
I know I'm not the only one here waiting on parts. We have to have our voices heard.

What, exactly, do you propose be done to make parts available? Plastics, microchips, and even rubber are in high demand and low supply.

If this were happening without two simultaneous events working to restrict supply, I'd be right behind you. Unfortunately, things are just hard to get right now.

Pretty sure lemon law should kick in after a certain amount of time in the shop depending on your state if you want to pursue that option.

What kind of a part are you waiting on?

I agree, lemon law should be looked at. Were you able to get a loaner vehicle? I have had mine in 5-6 times and still not working correctly. I can't be without a vehicle and my dealer will not provide a loaner. VW customer care was also no help for me either.

I have less than 3,000 miles on my Taos and the front left axle/CV joint is failing already. I spoke to a dealership this morning and they said the part is on back order and have no idea when the part(s) will be available. I'm opening a case with VW (not that it will change anything) but I have seen several posts online about this particular part failing, so the case is to not only complain, but to put it on record that they have had yet another axle/CV joint failure on a new Taos. The Taos will be my 13th VW (I've only owned VWs) and this Taos is heading towards a nightmare I'm afraid. Very disappointed in this Taos.
