I hate the look of the wheels on my ‘23 Taos. I went to the dealer after seeing a different model with black wheels and of course it was sold. The salesman went out and looked at the in stock inventory and came back with another model with silver wheels. I can’t afford a new set so I’m going to paint them black. I painted my Ranger wheels and they turned out nice. Anyone paint their Taos’ wheels, how do they look, pics?
My technique:
A coat of degreaser, rinse and dry.
Three coats of self-etching spray primer
Three coats of Rustoleum matte black wheel paint.
Three coats of matte clear coat.
