Just finished the conversion over the weekend. the new lights and color make a huge difference.

Overall the process was pretty simple. You have to make sure you specify the current color of the bulbs you have when ordering from Deautokey. That will ensure you get the correct bulbs.

The trunk light, visor lamps and rear map light will all pull directly out of the head liner or rear trunk panel if you gently pry them out. You can then remove the wire connector to allow you to change the bulb in a more comfortable position.

Most of the bulbs are the festoon type, and when you remove the existing bulbs you may expand the existing holders making the replacement LED bulbs loose. You can gently bend the bulb holders to make the connection tighter.

The LED bulbs are polarized, so double check that the bulb illuminates before reinstalling the housing back into the headliner or trunk. If they don't illuminate, rotate the bulb 180 degrees and try again. Make sure the connection is tight as well.

The map lights near the front seats require a plastic pry tool to gently pry the light housing out of the rest of the assembly. Removing the bulb is straight forward once you have the assembly removed. Just pull straight out. These are wedge type bulbs, and are polarized as well. Double check that the bulbs illuminate and then gently pop the assemble back into the roof.

My SEL 4motion is lacking the interior LED's. It had an Oct ship date and yes I was very surprised to find it did not have interior LED's. I just noticed that the newer inventory DO HAVE LED's! I wonder if the OEM LED's are available and can be retrofitted?

I purchased a SEL 4MO early July 2021 and it has all LED lights except the cargo area. I'm not sure how that happens. Guess they figured it wasn't part of the main cabin and they could get away with it being different. All to save a buck!

As a rule, LED optics are made in a single sealed unit, which does not involve disassembly, which allows such headlights to better resist moisture and vibrations, which also adds to their reliability. LEDs require less time to turn on, besides they do not need time to warm up, and therefore the maximum amount of light is available immediately after switching on, which also has a positive effect on road safety. You can purchase car lights inside and install them yourself. The main thing is to choose high-quality equipment.

I decided to take a chance and buy light bulbs with 16 million possible shades. Unfortunately, I can't find that link right now. But if anyone is wondering, this company deals with different types of interior lighting, ranging from lamps for the home to LEDs for cars. I'm considering buying an LED strip right now. It seems I've bought the entire range from this company, except for this tape. I really like to adjust the lighting depending on the mood. I don't know how I used to live without it, lol.
