Does any one else’s cross bars cause tiny indents where it clamps down on the outer edge of the roof rail? There is rubber on the clamp mechanism but it still seems to cause tiny indents.

Experienced the same issue. Ended up returning them to VW and got the Thule Aero bars.

I was really disappointed.

I'll be getting the OEM cross bars as well from vw, hoping this doesn't happen.
