Picked up my 2022 Taos S with 4motion in Platinum Gray Metallic on October 29th from Boucher VW in Franklin WI. Do not care for the engine start/stop system, thought something was wrong with the car and almost called the dealer - then read manual. I am a 60 yr old male who lives in SE Wisconsin with my disabled wife. My 2014 Tiguan was rear ended on Oct 24th and State Farm totaled it because the rear suspension arm was bent and car was undriveable after that, best VW I ever owned, damn thing was made in Wolfsburg! All my best VWs were made there. Too many gizmos in this car for my liking and I am a computer operator! Do I really need a car with 2 TV screens in it! So far no problems but after reading some of your posts I can only guess what may happen next, thank god it is under warranty. I really like the 4 motion first car I have ever had with AWD. It really hugs the road and you can really feel the difference in the handling.

1000 miles and no issues. Fully tested the Apple Carplay and works very well with my 2021 iPhone SE running iOS15.1 Probably will not use everyday, more for road trips, Planning one in May to Las Vegas and Phoenix to visit family, Mom Turns 80! Took me a while to figure out how to dim the panel lights, you have to do it on the radio. Also getting used to turning off the stupid engine start/stop thing every time I start the car. Can't wait for snow to test the snow mode, Damn global warming! The heated seats are the bomb! Still can't find the data sticker in the car, called the dealer today and I do not think he knew what I was talking about.

2000 miles, no issues (yes I am keeping a log here) I have tested every system/subsystem on the car. Snow Mode is excellent no sliding at all. Liking the car. Also just paid off the loan and waiting for the title to arrive from the State of Wisconsin. Found something weird under the dash that is not mentioned in the owners manual or repair manuals, will post photos soon. The Title arrived today 1/7/22 from the Wisconsin DOT.

2/11/22 3000 miles no issues, no dummy lights. Tested the CarPlay some more. Used the voice to text, that works real nice. Now am full time working from home so car just sits in garage. Miles will add up very slowly now.

3/3/22 I have decided to stop reading this depressing forum because I fear it will jinx my car. I will however continue to keep this log.

5/15/22 5000 miles Went on a 1300 mile (round trip) road trip and no issues, no warning lamps. I only had to reboot CarPlay once when it froze up. After reading this forum I needed a long road trip to restore my confidence back in this car.

7/25/22 7000 miles took another road trip to Oklahoma and back, no issues found.

8/27/22 8000 miles, was able to use off road mode and it activated the Hill descent control but it was not regulating (I was not on a hill), the indicator remained greyed out.

10/14/22 8450 miles Check engine light came on. Dealer said it was for a EVAP switchover valve, they fixed it with a software upgrade per a TSB.

Welcome to the site, nice to see someone even older than me lol.
Glad you've been having a good time in your Taos!
And yep, that Start/Stop is a pain! I'm going to put a bypass plug-in soon I think.

Used it twice driving on an icy US 45 into Illinois where I work very early in the morning. The snow mode works perfectly to keep the car from sliding and fishtailing all over the place - felt very stable and tracked straight ahead. You cannot give it to much gas starting out, you still have to take it easy but man, it really holds the slippery road, it's a beautiful thing!
