MIB3 Problems

I am having the same problem with my MIB3 radio as others are having. Turn on car and no sound. I can switch to other radio stations, FM or AM, or even My Media - no sound. I turn the radio off/on. This does not correct problem. I turn my ignition off/on, this does not correct problem. The only thing that works is a manual reboot - press and hold volume button for 12 seconds - the radio reboots and then works fine.

It was taken to the dealer and their inspection showed radio working as designed, with all the latest software updates.

There has to be a fix for this problem. Does anybody know if VW is working on a software fix?

One trick I found vs reboot is to enter the sound/volume settings and adjust the voice level. Brings all the sound back.

But you can’t always do that while driving, so doing a hard reset is easier.

I’ve only had issues with CarPlay sound not working. I switch to radio or satellite and back the sound returns.

Same thing here. Once in a while (Wireless) CarPlay music doesn't work (although navigation voice/alerts are fine). My iPhone will show the music is playing/progressing through the track, but I can't hear it. Switching to Radio and then back to CarPlay fixes this.
