MEXICO: 2021 Volkswagen Taos: Versions, Prices, and Availability

Puebla, Pue. – In an unprecedented event, Mexico will be the first market to commercialize the new Taos. The Mexican clients of this new SUV will be the first worldwide to drive it starting December 2020, while the new Taos could be acquired from dealerships at the beginning of next year.

The versions of the new Taos that will be sold in Mexico are Trendline, Comfortline and Highline and the prices of those versions are $449,990 MXP, $499,990 MXP and $535,990 MXP, respectively.

The equipment in the three versions stands out for its high level of design, safety and technology. We can start off from the base versión and in al lof the trim levels an extremely efficient 1.4L motor with 150-HP, 6 air bags, adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitoring with rear traffic alert, frontal collision assitance with emergency braking, rear camera, automatic headlight activation with photo sensor and ‘Coming Home’ & ‘Leaving Home’ system, ‘Push-to-Start’ engine start/stop button and tire pressure loss warning light, additional wireless charger for Smartphone and Digital Cockpit, that helps the driver drive safely and comfortably.

In the Comfortline versión, the new Taos comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels with a new design, 10-inch color touchscreen, the recently announced Volkswagen Wire & Wireless App-connect for iOS, which translates into being able to control Smartphone applications from the radio, a multi-function steering wheel in leatherette material, two-tone leatherette covered seats, electrically-operated driver’s seat with lumbar adjustement, rear parking sensors and front door sill protectors with Chrome inserts that give the new Taos a very elegant look.

In the higher versión, Highline, the new Taos features eye-catching and innovative design elements such as a center grille with an LED-lit lip, panoramic sliding roof with height adjustment, two-tone seat upholstery partially covered in leather and ambient illumination on the front doors and dashboard with 10 selectable colors, as well as comfort equipment such as the 2-zone Climatronic air conditioner and the automatic anti-glare interior rear view mirror.

Taos is the fourth model produced in the Puebla plant that is built on the MQB platform and with its introduction, Volkswagen forcefully nourishes its SUV catalog to five models for the near future : T-Cross, as an entry model, followed by the new Taos, Teramont and Cross Sport.
