Ignition automatically turns off

Hi! We've been having unusually hot weather here and as such when I'm waiting in my car for a delivery, I would like it to stay idling to keep the AC on. But today I've noticed my car has switched itself off after just a minute or two without any prompts for me. I'm finding this really irritating and I can't find in the manual how to turn this function off. Not only would I want this to be turned off so I can keep the heat or AC on while sitting in my car on extreme weather days, I could also see this being necessary if you're working on your engine and you need to look under the hood and keep it on.

Does anyone know what's going on and if this is a known glitch that can be fixed or is this intentional and can't be turned off? Thanks!

This is the start-stop feature. You can disable it a couple ways in the summer :)
To the right of the shifter, you'll see a button that has an A inside a circular arrow.
Once you start the car, just hit that button and it will disable the automatic start-stop feature.

You'll have to do this every time you start the car. There is a bypass for this listed somewhere in the forums.

In the summer time, you can also set your climate control to maximum. This should also disable the automatic start-stop feature.
It works on my Taos (a '23), but may not on earlier cars (I haven't tried).

This may work as well in the winter time for setting the heat to maximum.

With ac on, just set your fan to 4. That keeps the auto stop off.

Beside being able to turn it off with the button to the right of the gear selector you van put the car in sport mode and that will automatically disable start/stop until you put the car in normal drive mode, also putting the gear selector in manual mode will do the same thing.

Thank you everyone, I'll give this a try once it gets hot again!
