Well honestly the Taos is my wifes' new car. On the other hand I am usually the one in the forums trying to glean as much information as possible. Now I am sort of a gear head but the new Taos was so I could start using her old Dodge Journey as a Daily driver after my 86 Dodge D150 shit its pinion gear out after only 515,000 miles.

Not my first VW. It is the wifes' first VW and she fell in love with it on the test drive. The right size, comfortable and good fuel economy. My first VW was a 74 Type 1 and that was back in 89. The pick up is not done yet. Just have to find a used rear end to bolt up under her and it will be the back up vehicle. The Taos was in the running and won after test driving several others that just did not fit right. The Taos was the right vehicle at the right time. Being FWD we can tow in on the dolly behind our 76 Dodge Motorhome
