I named mine Gurdy!
Lol, I have a New Beetle with the same name.My old Corrado was named by my repair shop - or more accurately by the mechanic who spent 2 days replacing the heater core for 6 hours of pay.
After that it was officially known there as "That F%^#$*& Volkswagen".![]()
Oh gosh, I’m so sorry. My old Corrado was named by my repair shop - or more accurately by the mechanic who spent 2 days replacing the heater core for 6 hours of pay.

Oh wow, that’s too funny. I wanted a good sturdy name and we thought of Gurdy.Lol, I have a New Beetle with the same name.
Haha! Despite spending 2 days cursing he did a great job (whole dash had to come out). His first (and presumably last) Corrado heater core!Oh gosh, I’m so sorry.
I am so glad the dealer reimbursed you the $500 it cost you. That’s great!Haha! Despite spending 2 days cursing he did a great job (whole dash had to come out). His first (and presumably last) Corrado heater core!
And to make it even better, VW reimbursed me for the $500 or so it cost as they had a recall on some of them.
Oh that’s great! I grew up with that TV show. What great names for them.My teenage daughter named our VW's after Hogans Heroes characters. We currently have Klink (Taos) and Schultz (Jetta).
The white is definitely a nice looking vehicle. It looks sharp. They had one on the lot where I bought my car but it was the SEL and I just didn’t want to spend that kind of money that the dealer had added to it and I didn’t need the extra bells and whistles. Best of luck with your car.Toad 4 Is white. My better half said she would never want a white car until we test drove this Taos and saw it in person. We had gone to the nearest dealer (60 miles away) to look at and test drive a black one. Needless to saw we left with it that day. The Taos S was exactly what we were looking for as a replacement for the Journey.
We have ours since November and it has been great. We do have one issue with what appears to be a clear wrap for chip protection starting to peel on the drivers door but getting into the dealer which is 70 miles away is a bit of a pain. Should be interesting when the first service comes up.The white is definitely a nice looking vehicle. It looks sharp. I was at the dealer yesterday for a check engine light and it’s the N80 filter. Something to do with the fuel and emissions. It’s on back order. Luckily I can still drive my car while I wait for the part to come in.
I’m sorry to hear that the wrap is pealing on your car. I hope you can get to the dealer soon to have them take care of it. Good luck!We have ours since November and it has been great.
