I took my Taos 2022 to two different dealers. Both of them didn't fix the problem. After fueling up my Taos , the miles left to empty display do not move for 2-3 days after drawing between 50-120 miles. Terrible that my nice Taos' display isn't accurate. After those driven those miles, the display starts adjusting in 5-10 intervals randomly. Anybody with the same problem ?

How long have you had the car? When I first got mine and filled it up, the first few times it only showed a range of 350 miles. It so it would go a long time without dropping down because the car has way longer range than that. After it adjusted to real life situations it now shows around 415 range on a fill up, and will still wait 50 miles or so before moving. And it does drop in 5 mile intervals.

Good points Aaron. I got the car I. August 2022. When I filled up the tank, I always get 410 miles. As I drive, the display adjusts but never like yours (5 miles at the time ) but never in real time like my other cars, Nissan Almita & Rogue. I really like that feature in them. One my driven , one mile less you have till empty. My Taos's display adjusts at its own will. It's never consistent. The tech guys didn't find any issues with the car and did all the software updates required. I will get used I guess.

If you fill it up to the neck, so the pump nozzle shuts off, it is above the level of the fuel sensor. Maybe the car just doesn't know how overfilled it is until it gets to the point where the fuel starts to move the float down? I have noticed it once or twice in mine. It does take a little while for it to start moving but mine shows about 360 miles to empty when totally full.

It could the case. Just now , drove 5 miles home and the range to empty display dropped15 miles lol. As long it gives me an accurate reading, I'm ok with it. Don't want to be stranded one day in the hwy without enough to gas ⛽.

It's constantly recalculating its estimate of remaining range. If you drive 5 miles after starting with a cold engine, your mileage for that trip is probably pretty lousy. The computer is thinking oh crap, only 25mpg right now, so the range will need to be adjusted down.
It is likely using a weighted average calculation with the current (or recent) fuel economy figure counting significantly and earlier economy numbers counting less. This will definitely result in range estimates changing by more than the actual miles driven in some circumstances. I've mentioned before, if you start driving in the city with a cold engine then start cruising on the freeway it's not unusual for the estimated range to actually increase.

Interestingly comments and they make good sense. Thank you. Why VW would not have a system like the others big brands? Real time. It's not that big of a deal anymore. I'm getting used to. I'm not driving long distances anyway.

I think it is recalculating range in real time. It just can't predict the future.
If I drive like a madman or in heavy traffic for 100 miles and get 20mpg, the remaining range is based on 20mpg. If I then start cruising leisurely on the freeway like a grandma, I would expect the remaining range to increase after I've been getting 35mpg for a bit.
