Yep, no such luckDod you check your gas cap? Number one cause of check engine light is loose gas cap. One can hope…
Thanks for that, and hopefully you'll be back in your Taos soon and it will be trouble-free here on outI also had a check engine light on my Taos but I took it straight to the dealer so I didn't read the codes. They said the oil separator was defective. Still not fixed after a month and I'm still in a loaner. Hopefully your issue is minor but from my brief research the oil separator is related to the EVAP system I think controlling emissions. Maybe you have a similar issue?
Thanks for the links, the light has stayed off, hopefully it will stay that way, but seems minor vs. other things that have been going on w/ some models.
I had the same problem right after I drove my SE FWD right after I drove off the dealers site. I cant remember the exact code but this could be the vent control arm. If it is, easy fix by shop. Told to keep ice and snow from getting in that area during the winter and letting it freeze.Pulled the code, P2421, so not the 02 sensor, defined as~detected either the vent valve or vent valve control circuit is stuck open in the evaporative (EVAP) control system, sounds like a minor issue, hopefully that's the case. I cleared the code so I'll see if it comes back on.
Honestly I think they’re just electrical gremlins from the firmware on the car. My car started jumping up and down was flashing every single light I turned it off and turn it back on and the problems with the wife probably needs to flash the ECM and pcm. But if the problem goes away it doesn’t happen again it was just an electrical bug did this happen while the start stop button was showing has been active or deactivated?I had the same problem right after I drove my SE FWD right after I drove off the dealers site. Probably activated, we push that button as quick as we push the "close elevator door" button at the hotels we stay at lol.Honestly I think they’re just electrical gremlins from the firmware on the car. Just an odd thought here, if the EVAP system is showing vent valve open, could that possibly be the leaking fuel line instead? If it's a vent line, it wouldn't build pressure, and the EVAP might detect that as a leak to atmosphere?
I guess we'll see what the culprit is, the light came back on and since the nearest dealer is 200 miles away I could only schedule to take it in on Oct. 11th. Hopefully they're able to find it & fix it that day, would hate to have to come back for it, but time will tell. At least it seems to be driving fineJust an odd thought here, if the EVAP system is showing vent valve open, could that possibly be the leaking fuel line instead? Wish me luck!
It's been 30 days since they ordered the part, called today and they still said no ETA. Oh well, at least I can drive it.I just got the same code on my sel. I reset and see if it comes back
