ECU 24IR update...?

So my 2022 SE AWD Taos is about to go in for 10k service, oil change and PA State inspection. I called the dealer about the ECU 24IR update and asked to have that done. Their response was, based on the fact that my VIN does not show it as a recall item, they are unable to do it. Furthermore when I asked if they could scan the car and determine what the current version of the ECU software was, I was told that would be a $60 charge not covered by VW warranty. Long story short I'm being lead to believe until the update corresponds to my VIN I have no recourse. This is bullshit, my Taos definitely suffers from the throttle response issue from the factory and the only way I've been able to effectively deal with it is with the Carista mod. Anyone had any luck pushing this up the chain and getting the update? For those of you using Carista are you able to pull the ECU version #?

The brake rotors get lite surface rust from sitting
On rainy or damp days. When you drive a little bit the brakes clean off the rotors. Don't worry about
It your good to go
Brake rotors get clean, but the back wheels get filthy, at least until you replace w/ better ceramic pads :(
Welp, brought my Taos in for low coolant and tried to get them to upgrade the ECM based on this TSB but they wouldn't because it needs to have one of the listed trouble codes... bummer.
I just took my Taos in for 10K service and they voluntarily included the update

Just not true. I have not seen anyione check for a code for this update.VIN number, yes. Code, no. If so, that would be my last visit to that dealer.

I went into my dealership and asked them to update my ecm and they checked on their computer and told me there isn’t an update. I wanted them to hook their laptop up to my car and physically show me no updates….
Just got the 30000 mile service done and we were told there was an update. We were also told it would take 2 hours to get the update done so we passed on it this trip. It was a saturday afternoon and we were waiting for the free oil change. Dealership is 90 minutes away if Atlanta traffic behaves.
I'm FYI, the first two services (10k/20k) are both covered by VW. For all new Taos.
Currently getting my 2022 Taos serviced right now for the 20k miles and apparently the 30k miles also is now covered in the 22 and 23. Might want to double check with your dealer though.

Is that something that your dealer confirmed? Did they extend the carefree maintenance?

I went to a different VW dealer different from the one I bought it from. The advisor notified me about it, however I just found out my tires are and brakes are shot not even passing 20k miles. Dealer stated that warranty covers the brakes but not the tires.
Finally got this update done at the dealership. Does seem to improve low speed driveability.
