CloudTex Upholstery Hot or Sticky in the Summer?

I have an appointment tomorrow to test drive a 2023 Taos SE and was curious about your experiences with the CloudTex Upholstery in hot weather. Does it breathe at all? I live in a hot summer climate and really don't want a sweaty back on a 100+ day. I avoid typical leatherette upholstery for that reason. Thanks.

Seemed fine throughout the Houston summer. Nice quite as breathable as the cloth in my GTIs, but still much better than the past leather/leatherette VW interiors I've had.

I had leatherette on 2006 jetta and now we've got a taos sel. no issues with sticky

But you have an AWD SEL and those come with perforated leather ventilated seats. The SE I'm interested in comes with a faux suede material called CloudTex. Just was concerned about it in the hot weather and if it was like vinyl/leatherette that doesn't breathe at all.

My current car is a Subaru with perforated leather and its been fine in the summer. Sounds like I'll be good with the CloudTex.
I am a big guy that dresses in shorts and t shirt from spring, thru summer, into fall. My SE with Cloudtex is my first car without fabric seat covering since a 1999 Wrangler with vinyl (which was really uncomfortable in winter and summer).

I found the Cloudtex to be very comfortable.

you're right, I guess it is a different seat. even the 2006 sel jetta that had leatherete was comfortable, I didn't think vw was doing leather at all. I know the steering wheel in mine is leatherete and doesn't feel clamy

As mentioned somewhere else, it doesn't let you slide well, like leather or leatherette does. So you kind of have to half stand up as you "slide" into the seat. This could be a good thing if you don't want to slide around in "spirited" cornering.
As for sweaty/sticky? No issues for me. Definitely better than the fake leather in a Mk1 Tiguan.

I like the material, not sure how hard it will be to clean, but comfort and not being sticky/clammy, seems like a good choice.
