I don't know to what extent the global chip shortage affecting the auto industry has already impacted Taos production, but it looks like it is going to become pretty acute in the short term, with a 3-week shutdown in Puebla (perhaps further delaying the arrival of AWD models variants to market?), though VW says the car is still launching on schedule:
