12/24: check engine light still on

The verbiage in capital letters are the notes in my VW service portal. While I believe the portal doesn’t state the valve was fixed, my paper receipt states it was.

Either way, my lame bf makes me feel like I’m overreacting because the damn yellow check engine light is still on.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

Mine was on for a long time. It was a pressure valve as well. It took forever for the part to come in, but the check engine light it now gone. I would take it back to the dealer. You're not overreacting. Tell your BF to go shove rocks ha..

Having a brand new car with a check engine light is the most annoying thing in the world

Our CEL light came on (steady not blinking). It was a venting pump or valve, not sure. The ordered the part in Oct. came in a few weeks ago but the CEL light went out. If it stays off I'll probably just leave it be. The dealer is 200 miles away and can't guarantee a loaner, and a steady CEL light is still ok to drive according to the dealer. If it comes back on I'll for sure take it back, but only if it does. The way I figure it, the venting/pump part seems to be someone troublesome, so I doubt getting the same part replaced won't decrease the odds of a future problem :(

Oh, and it went on at 1,000 miles and has been off for another 1500 miles (fingers crossed)

I had the exact same problem Took it back to dealer. They ran diagnostics and found fault p0606 ecm processor. They performed task stated in 24HV recall. This cleared the problem and no more check engine light on.
Hope this helps.

I got mine in October 2021, the code has been fixed 4 times and I just dropped it back off today. It’s happening to all of them, no version is excluded in this. I have a s awd and I’m having the same EVAP code. It’s also not user error, I’ve had a sensor replaced, and a bunch more parts replaced. I’m working on getting vw to buy it back and I will let everyone know how that goes.
