Rear pad change is easy.

If you dont care about making programming changes this little gem will walk you through the electric brake retraction. For VW Audi Skoda Seat OBD2 Scanner All system Check EPB ABS SRS Oil Ancel VD500 | eBay I made a $38 best offer and it was accepted. Worked like a charm. retracts and then will reset after you are done.

Raybestos Hybrid ceramic metallic pads $22 from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012ZY5EOU They even have a mechanical wear indicator to warn you when it is time for the next change.

EPB Volkswagen Rear calipers do not need the special turning tool to push them back in. Once the parking brake is retracted you just push them back in. 17mm socket to remove wheels, T45 Torx bit to remove caliper pins.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HFL7EDS some brake lube for the pins and pad to caliper contact points. I have been using this brand since the early 90s and it works great for keeping down brake noise and uneven pad wear.

Taking my time the whole job took under 30 minutes.

If you have any mechanical ability or have done a basic disc brake pad change you can do this with the proper scan tool.

Rear pads had about 3mm left and it is now at 32000 miles. I expect this set to last a while longer.
