I just got my Carista today . Is there a stock default profile you can revert to of your car that you make before start making changes ? I believe I read that somewhere. I want to make sure everything can be quickly changed back before I ever go to the dealership for oil changes , etc . Don’t want to like reflash anything as it can be detected , just not sure how resetting works .Thanks

That'd be nice if it had macros to undo/redo changes but I haven't seen anything like that in there. In the past, dealers never cared about modified settings that we could change with VCDS since it didn't affect the flash count of the ECU or change the checksum. Maybe just note what you're changing and how so you can undo it later.

Debating changing throttle response but not sure if it’s necessary. Scared to touch anything engine related .
Changing steering to dynamic ? What’s the difference you feel to anyone who changed it ?

The direct throttle response was the best change I've done to the car. Instantly more drivable and predictable when you ask the car to move. I hear the latest ECU update kind of does the same thing but in the meantime, going direct fixed a lot of the lag.
Dynamic was also a great change. It gives the steering a slightly more weighted feel but it's not a night/day difference. Kind of like a GTI but softer and another mod I can't be without after changing to it.

Dynamic steering is a great tweak. Changes the fly by wire steering voltage map to decrease the boost ratio. Slightly more wheel effort at parking lots speeds, much more precise in attentive driving at speed. Like sport steering driving mode, but better!

We got the 24iR update, it did not affect any Carista settings. After the update I returned the throttle setting to stock (gradual, threshold) but kept dynamic steering!
