If anyone is looking at replacing their trunk bulb to an LED bulb, I just recently replaced mine using this bulb. Super easy to replace and makes a huge difference!

Hoping to replace the rest of the cabin bulbs in the near future.

Does it stay on after tailgate is closed I tried to do it too but the led I had remained on but very dim.

So they don't explicitly list the cargo area bulb separately (I have an all LED interior except the cargo area) so I bought the universal one, but it looks completely different from the one above so I'm not sure... The weather here has sucked too much for me to want to install it so I haven't tried yet, but hmm...

Yep! Be careful with this bulb. I wouldn’t have thought to check but it does stay lit (though dim) with the hatch closed. I checked inside of car with seat down. I flipped it around in case it was a polarity issue and it doesn’t work at all the other way. The sylvania 6411 is not compatible as replacement bulb. Mine is 22 se 4motion. All other interior bulbs are led except the trunk.

Not yet! Just discovered this today. On the hunt though and will report back if I find one.

I’ve swapped mine out for a 42mm LED festoon. Which is a 6411 equivalent
It turns off 100%

I have the Sylvania 6411 LED in my SEL w/4 Motion and after reading this thread I did a few experiments. I put the rear seats down and after I closed all the doors, I could see the LED continue to dimly glow, but as soon as I locked the vehicle with the key fob the light went out completely. I'm not convinced there is a problem with this particular LED

Agreed. Mine did the same thing. I'm wondering if the bulb just glows when the taillights are on.

ive the same bulb in 3 of my cars too. Just a generic 42mm led from good old Amazon same figment as the 6411

Interesting! Thanks for checking. The incandescent bulb def does not stay lit while the led does, and I don’t always lock my doors so still not trusting it in my Taos.

Following up: I purchased this replacement lamp unit which fits the taos perfectly and is super bright. Also no dimly lit with hatch closed as I found with the sylvania 6411. $10.99

So do you just unplug the harness from the OEM unit and plug it into this unit?
