There was multiple emails about this rebranding- it now includes additional content like manuals, maintenance schedules, and appointment scheduling.

The Nav feature of the app doesn’t seem to work for me. It won’t display the map in the app unless I select Satellite.

I don’t like that they got rid of the Face ID for the PIN after selecting your vehicle. Now I have to actually type my PIN.

Yeah I’m hoping the Face ID comes back. It took me a few tries for the pin as I forgot it. Haha.

Let's hope it fixes the connection issues that some are having from time to time, i.e timeouts, remote starts being flaky and just overall poor performance in the previous app version.

Agree. The iOS app is now worse than before, for me, anyway. I have to manually type my PIN in and some of the features/functions do not work, namely the remote start and door lock controls. I see the exact same information so if it was just rebranded, fine; make sure it works before launch. I’ve worked in project mgmt including iOS app dev…I’ve seen what testing should be done. Oh well…not like I can’t live without the app. ¯\(ツ)/¯

Yep, looks as though just the look has changed. It still times-out on occasion and refuses to remote start quite often.

There was an update to the myVW iOS app today and FaceID now autofills the PIN like it did before! 😀

Weird, mine does it automatically now every time! I don't see any setting to disable/re-enable FaceTime within the myVW app itself (what a surprise! ) Maybe removing the app and reinstalling would reset the FaceTime integration, or maybe changing your pin would force FaceTime to "relearn" it! I DID see an option for that. If that works, you could then change it back to what it was before! It might be worth a try.

Ok thanks. I’m not sure if there was even a new update for myVW on my iPhone. It didn’t indicate that the app was updated

Oh guess what! I just restarted the app and it must have just updated itself. It now does exactly what you said. Very odd. Could VW been rolling it out based on VIN numbers or something. I was just about to go and delete the app and it updated.

I deleted the app and reinstalled, now Face ID works perfectly for now at least.

The name and looks may have changed but it still locks up almost daily, requiring a full log-in. It's either total garbage or it doesn't play well with my iPhone running the most recent update. Very frustrating and virtually useless.
