I’m thinking of getting a Bumperdillo. My dealer ordered one and I can pick it up tomorrow. Do you folks out there like it or not. The chrome one is the only one available. I have the S 4 Motion Taos in the dark gray. How do you think it will look? Do you think I can put it on myself? The dealer wants $100 to install. I think that’s crazy.

I like having the rear protection. we got the matte silver one and it looks great on the cornsilk blue. all of these products are 'easy' to install but they are also difficult to get right. you only get 1 chance with the tape. it needs to be well centered and straight also. that is a bit harder to do if not used to it.

I went with the chrome finish, as there is chrome here on there on my SE (and they are available of course).
I prefer the VW over some of the aftermarket brands as they are longer and closer to full sill coverage.
A mush have for me, being a musician and constantly loading gear in and out of the rear of the vehicle.
Same rule apply for suitcases and carry-ons. The price is pretty much in-line with every other vehicle I have owned. Roughly the same price to add one to my Volvo XC60.

I’ll probably end up getting the chrome one even if though I have the S model. My dealer said that the chrome is the only one you can get your hands on right now. Yeah it’s a bit pricy but I feel I’d rather go with an OEM. Thanks for your opinion.

Just installed the matte finish a week or so ago. It looks good on the Pure Gray SEL 4Motion. Easy to install but also easy to goof up due to the double sided tape. There is a removable blue dot in the center. It is used to align with the hatch latch.

It is very easy to install. Test fit and be certain of the placement before you take the plastic off the tape.
