Put the bumper cover pad on my SE AWD today. Kind of absurd how it doesn’t come factory standard on all trims. Is it or is it not a rugged offroad beast!?!

Nice! Does yours fit totally flush to the bumper? I may have misinstalled mine 😬

its going to fit slightly higher because of the tape height. you don't want it flush, that will cause paint wear due to vibrations

you can't powder coat plastic. that process requires baking at significant temps

The OEM Bumperdillo brand is a cheap poorly cut piece of plastic. It sits off the bumper in height because of the double sided tape used to install it. Mine also hangs off the back edge an 1/8" or so. It looks like crap. It is very sharp if you drag your clothes or skin on it. The dealer is taking mine off for free but won't credit the $160 initial cost. I wouldn't recommend the OEM at all. I have one for sale

I spray painted mine with matte black high performance enamel paint. Looks great and super durable.

I bought a black rubber one off of amazon for 12 bucks. I bought ones for both the 2019 Sportwagen and the GTI. they were 10 bucks. They don't go over the edge but they don't cost 100 bucks which is ridiculous foe a piece of plastic/rubber.

They make black OEM ones for the Tiguan, haven’t compared measurements yet, but that may work

Tiggy has a completely different bumper so I’d say it won’t work
