Bluetooth mystery

I recently leased the 2023 VW Taos. A big must have for me in any vehicle is the ability to play my music. I admit I’m old school and still use my 5th gen iPod touch, but with its Bluetooth capability I’ve yet to run into any issues. Until the third day into my lease. Seemingly out of the blue certain functions just stopped working. The iPod was connected but I was unable to change the playlist or the song. I’d be so easy to say it’s a compatibility issue with the iPod but the iPod was working find the first two days, and it can pair and work flawlessly in my parents 2023 Tiguan. So it’s not the iPod, it’s something with the Taos and I don’t know what to do. I’ve brought it to the dealership and they are just as puzzled. Mainly because it was working before and it connects via Bluetooth. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Anyone have this issue as well? How was it fixed?

have you tried to hold the power button down until the dash and radio reset? its about 10 sec. If an OTA update was done at day 3 then it could explain why it stopped working

Yes, tried that. Also tried unpairing and repairing and even restarting the iPod itself. Still nothing
Have also tried that, still did not work
