Is anyone else having this? Every 3 weeks my phone (Samsung s21) switches off the contact share permission in the Bluetooth control panel for the car connection. It isn't much to switch it back on but I have never had that on any other car and Android Auto.

you might be confusing a phone issue for a car issue. modern android versions automatically remove premissions after a time if it is not used. you can set each app you don't want that to happen with. I've seen this happen with apps that only check for permissions at install time and then they get revoked and the app doesn't work right.

Well this phone never did it with either Nissan it was connected to previously. I have never had Bluetooth device permissions removed. I have to go to Bluetooth settings/my car/click on the Contact Access switch.

It could simply be another issue with Android Auto because it is TERRIBLE in general. I was just wondering if anyone else has it happen.

I have had it happen with this car and other cars but it has never been a consistent issue. It might get turned off a few days in a row then works fine for the next 10 months or so. Can't really say if it's a phone issue or an Android Auto issue.

Same, it's pretty random but seems to be around every 2-3 weeks. Not sure if it's a phone or a car thing but most of my AA problems have been resolved by headunit software updates.

I would try to access developer functions on the phone and set the Bluetooth standard to version 1.6 that worked for me on my pixel 6 pro

I will try that but I don't see how it will affects the contact sharing privileges.

Came back tkday at 6pm but this morning my phone asked to pair via Bluetooth again.

Mine happened again this morning so I change the bluetooth AVRCP version to 1.6

The AVCRP was defaulted to 1.5 so I hope this works.

Mine is still 1.6 from when I changed it. Maybe when Android Auto updates, it resets the permission? If it only happens once a month I can deal with it, just another in a long line of little things pushing me off of android.
